Three Things 3/28/11- Hoagie Hut

What. A. Weekend.

Hope yours was less stressful than ours and I also hope that it will get warmer than 35 degrees here this week.

Psst, Mother Nature– it’s S P R I N G.

Three things I am grateful for

1-lunch with an old friend

I got to meet up with an old friend that I haven’t seen in five months. We live 45 minutes from each other and she travels for work a lot, so we don’t get to catch up as much as we used to when she lived closer. I also got to see her new home which was fun.

2- a good sandwich

Speaking of food, we had some Hoagie Hut on Sunday.

If you are from the Chicago area you know what I am talking about.

We haven’t been eating out a lot lately for many reasons but my husband and I felt the need to get out of our home this weekend and go for a drive which just conveniently happened to take us by the Hut for a Chicago Cheese Steak Hoagie.
Sometimes all it takes is a good sandwich to put life in perspective.

3- a burst of nervous energy

I had lots o’ energy this weekend and got some things done that I have been putting off. I re-organized Ellie’s room, moved some furniture around and brought her spring clothes to the closet as well as Annie’s. I worked in our basement storage area and filled two bags that went to Goodwill and am getting stuff ready for a fun sale that I am holding this spring for my friends and their friends. More info later on about that……but it just made me feel like it was spring inside even though the thermometer is only saying it is winter on the outside.

One more thing, I would like to give a shout out to the three newest countries who are reading my blog:

Hungary, Moldova, and Vietnam!

Happy Monday!
