Workin With What Ya Got- Calendar Frame Turned Tray Turned Grocery List Turned Menu Board

My poor Lang calendar wall holder has a personality complex.

It doesn’t know who he/she should be.

So here is what it originally became after I spray painted the frame white and spray painted the inside with chalkboard paint:
I loved how this turned out but after the 4th, I just wasn’t diggin’ it.
Here it was after the 4th.

Again, cute but just not sure how I felt about it.

Then I had a revelation in July.
It wants to be a grocery list!
This is it!!
YEAH nope.
I already had a grocery list on the side of my fridge so I would forget to write on the darn thing.
It just sat lonely and unused like this for over a month.
Until now.
Now, it is definitely getting some use.
As our menu board.
I use this thing weekly as it helps me to keep on track with the grocery list, our diet and helps me to not have to run to the grocery store every other day.

I used sidewalk chalk for the top part.

The cost to me- nothing.

Happy August!!
