When I was young, my parents used to have the best Christmas parties for their friends. I don’t know how old my brother and I were when we were allowed to be a part of them but before that point, they would get us Stouffer’s french bread pizza’s and let us lay in their bed watching TV all night which when you are a kid is heaven. Since then, I have loved french bread pizzas for more than just the memory associated with it.
So when I found a recipe for french bread pizza on Pinterest this summer, I was all about that. Here is the original link I clicked on to get the recipe.

Update: the above blog is no longer in existence or it was removed from Blogger.
Here is my spin on this classic.
French Bread Pizza
1- french bread loaf…use two if you are having company
2- pizza sauce….or here is the cheapskate way to do this: 1 can of tomato sauce + a couple of teaspoons each of oregano and garlic powder…tastes just as good as pizza sauce and is 60 cents cheaper.
3- mozzarella cheese…I used two packages to make them extra cheesy!
4- pepperoni….we didn’t use it but we will next time.
Cut the french bread loaves in half diagonally then cut into sections for single-serve pizza’s. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. While preheating the oven, add the pizza sauce to the top of the bread pieces. Top with cheese and pepperoni. Bake 10-15 minutes.
I have even tried ground Italian sausage (brown it first) and put on top of these.
So good and easy to make!
