It’s Finally Here #StreamTeam

I love Netflix. I think this comes as no surprise to any who know me well.

But the real reason I love Netflix is that I can watch Gilmore Girls at any time of the day.

I wrote about my love for all things Gilmore earlier this year and how I couldn’t wait to watch the revival some eight months later.

Later is now. LATER IS NOW.

I have to say when I heard there was going to be a revival I was so excited yet also apprehensive.

What if it doesn’t live up to my expectations?? Three words: Brady Bunch Reunion.

What if after watching, I end up feeling empty inside, longing for more???

What if my local grocery store runs out of Pop Tarts before November 25th.

You know, legitimate fears.

Last Friday, I received a box in the mail from my friends at Netflix.

My Netflix Gilmore Girls Goodie Box

I don’t stage these pictures. I just rip through the packages and snap a picture. Netflix knows how lucky they are to have me.

It was filled with so many goodies for my own little Gilmore Girls date night with my Rory.

I have two Rory’s, actually. One isn’t as interested in sitting on the couch with her mommy on a Friday night than the other one because she isn’t like the TV Rory.
My Rory actually goes out on a Friday night with her friends.

But I still have my eight-year-old who is obsessed with Gilmore Girls and food.

So this goodie box was a hit.

Netflix Gilmore Girls Date Night In #StreamTeam

See that candle on the right side of the coffee table?

I was so excited to get it in the goodie box and thought, “Gee, how nice of Netflix to send me a GG candle to make the room cozier whilst binge watching our girls!”

Until I read another Stream Team member write a Facebook post about the candle and how each layer of scent represents each season.
Like the upcoming revival.

The candle was wrapped in newspaper and I was kind of surprised that Netflix would wrap something in a newspaper.

“Wow, they must be cutting back on the budget over at Netflix” I quietly thought to myself.

Until I saw an Instagram post from another Stream Team member saying that it was Stars Hollow newspaper.

Lorelai and Rory are watching me #StreamTeam

Why do I feel like they are silently judging me?

Apparently, I don’t always pick up on subtle clues.

Listen, my intentions are good and pure.
I have been watching GG for years.
Way before Netflix started streaming it before Etsy sold mugs and sweatshirts before cookbooks were written about it.

Ella and her Gilmore Girls #StreamTeam

So is this girl.

From the beginning of her life, actually.

I can’t wait to watch this Friday!!

Why not have a Rory and Lorelai date night at your house?

And I have the perfect invitations for you to send:

Date Night with Mom

Head here to see even more!

Thank you to Netflix for sending me this fun box and thank you eternally for bringing back my Stars Hollow family again.

  1. I will be in Washington DC, holed up in a hotel room with my Rory, bingeing away. I think knowing that this Friday was coming and would be spent thus is what got us through her leaving for college. Maybe not really the only thing, but it sure helped. And if you still have that Stars Hollow newspaper and are ever going to throw it out, send it my way. 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! I’m thankful you’re in my life. Even if it’s not IRL life. Which would be way better, but I take what I can get.

    1. I RECYCLED IT BY ACCIDENT! I would totally send it to you if I had it.

What did you guys think of the revival??? I am writing a post today FOR tomorrow solely because if I don’t, I will need to scoot Emily and Lorelai over on that couch and get my therapy.

  2. Subtle clues aren’t my strength either. ? Happy almost Thanksgiving!!! My girls and I have cooked all afternoon. This will be the 1st Thanksgiving meal we’ve ever attempted. Usually we eat elsewhere and I bring a casserole. Out turkey is in the crockpot. ?

  3. I have heard a lot about this show, but never watched it. I’m not so much into TV shows now… I prefer English action movies. Main reason is that I’m not able to catch up with the shows every week. I could watch the missed episodes online, but it’s too much work. Movies are simpler. :p

    1. Friend, I am in agreement about catching shows online. There is another Netflix series my husband and I are starting called The Crown. It is an English series, you might like it?
