Podcast #15-A Scare, Showing Compassion to Yourself, John Hughes News, and Comic Sans??

There’s a lot to this podcast but the one thing I should clarify is that the sound you hear after I correct Biscuits is me putting the doorstop on my desk. I didn’t want you to think I was throwing the doorstep at him.

Hmmm…..
KIDDING.

Caught in the act.

Also, here is the comic sans article I mentioned.

  2. I wish you stop apologizing to your Male listeners, I mean maybe you should put that your podcast is female centric in the description, being that most people that stumble upon your podcast outside of your blog have no idea what to expect.

    1. I suppose I’m disrespecting men by apologizing for mentioning the female anatomy. But I believe you must put yourself in the shoes of a female to understand why I apologized in the first place.

      1. No disrespect Kari, it just seems like you’re always doing that. Honestly, I think most of your male listeners probably know by now what you discuss. I’m just offering advice that on the podcast side of things you should probably put in the description what your podcast is about or at the very least include a link to your blog.

      2. I imagine it’s just years of being told by men (not men directly related to me) that women’s personal things are disgusting or uninteresting. It takes some getting used to for me not to mention it. But thank you for bringing it to my attention.

  3. OMG. If you hadn’t said you weren’t throwing something at Biscuit, I would have called PETA.
I declared many, many years ago that I will never have a puppy.
We are polyp sisters. I hope all is well with all your lady parts!
    I’m glad Mike is ok.
I’m covered in bites. I don’t think they’re mosquito this time. Maybe chiggers? No-see-ums? I’m thinking of selling the GA house because this.is.bad.
    YAY for the JH tours!

    1. Right?? It sounds SO LOUD. LOL.

I’d forgotten how long the puppy stage lasts. It’s the same “anesthetic” during the human baby phase that gets you pregnant again. I SAID WHAT I SAID.

We are the same person. Don’t fight me on this.

I am glad he is too. 🙂

No seeum’s! OMG. We had no idea what those were until an outdoor wedding in Hilton Head in 2003. Whoo boy.

It’s going to be a lot of fun! Can’t wait to share the photos and stories with you all!

  4. Comic Sans alleviates writer’s block? I dunno. I want to believe it’s that simple, but… seems far-fetched to me. Still, I’m a curious person. I’ll try it the next time I can’t think of what to write.

    1. I think you’re referring to my notebook every morning. I’ll have to listen to my own podcast, HA! (Menopause brain fog)
First and foremost, I love how you feel like you’re walking to work with a friend. That makes me feel so good on the inside.
So the notebook…it’s just a dime-store notebook in which I write all of my ugly feelings as they pop into my mind. When the notebook is completely filled, I burn it in the firepit. I discussed it in a post titled What Is This Soul Homework You Speak Of? When I first started doing this, I wrote every day (sometimes many times per day), but now I just write in it periodically. I’m finding that the longer I do this practice, the less I have to write. 🙂

      1. Thanks! I keep a similar notebook, spiral bound, and I write most days. I used to get ride of them, but now I keep them since I got into astrology. I often go back and look at what was happen at a certain time. The life lessons keep repeating.

I’ll keep working c my way through. I love podcasts!
