A few weeks ago, I was on Facebook and saw a cool bean bag–like chair in someone’s house. A friend of a friend casually mentioned it was a Yogibo, like, oh yeah, everyone just has one of those lying around. I had never heard of a Yogibo, so I immediately went to Google because I Google everything.
I spent a solid half hour on the Yogibo site looking at all the chairs. I could have spent an hour if my attention span allowed it because there were so many pretty, soft, cozy chairs. In all the pretty colors.
They also have neck wraps, hammocks, home décor, and lots of other neat stuff. Head to their site if you want to fall down the same rabbit hole.

I emailed them after reading that their bean bags are great for sensory integration and that occupational therapists rave about them. I don’t talk about it much here, but regular readers know my youngest daughter has ADHD and we’re constantly figuring out what works best for her.
It felt a little like fate. The person with the Yogibo wasn’t even my friend. I saw the post because a friend commented on her friend’s photo. The internet brought me there on purpose.
I was convinced Ellie was going to love this new piece of furniture. Two weeks in, she does use it for homework and genuinely loves it. But if I’m being completely honest, she mostly uses it to practice her gymnastic moves.
I am not ashamed to admit that when she’s at school, it’s mostly used by me.
I do all of my writing in this cozy green chair. We’ve discovered my headaches are partly due to my writing situation, not the writing itself. I need to sit differently. Apparently, this chair is my therapeutic device.
It is so therapeutic that there are days when I have trouble… getting out of it.
Isn’t it a beaut??
It is so comfortable that I have to roll myself onto the floor to escape it. I actually had to put myself in a virtual timeout from the chair. I haven’t sat in it for four days because if I do, I won’t ever leave.
Don’t worry. I’ll be back in it soon. I have four posts to write next week, and subzero February temperatures pair very nicely with a giant green chair.
One important thing to note: this bean bag is big. Really, really big. When propped against the wall, it looks like a very large green human standing there. On two separate occasions, I nearly lost my soul walking into the family room because I thought a giant green man was waiting to attack me.
You can order smaller sizes. They have many options. The one they sent me was the max size. You could absolutely choose a Midi unless you enjoy fear-based cardio.
The only downside is that it stains easily. Or maybe our family stains easily. The cover does come off to wash, but fair warning: getting it back on is a workout. A full-body, question-your-life-choices workout. Still worth it. I am willing to sit in my own mess for this level of comfort.
My youngest and I sit in this chair together all the time. We talk, snuggle, laugh, watch TV, read, use the iPad, make ridiculous videos, and play educational apps. I even convinced my teenager to sit in it with me one evening, which alone should earn this chair an award.
Maybe it’s the power of green. Maybe it’s winter. Maybe it’s the stains. I don’t know. All I know is it’s good, and I don’t want it to stop.
Mostly because we can’t get out.

I contacted yogibo and offered to write a review in exchange for product.
I was not compensated to write the review and the above is my own opinion.

Ahhhhhhh! We have the same yogibo! Did I say "we"? Because I meant to say my daughter…and I think I have been allowed to sit in it like 3 times. I could try it while she's at school, but fear I'd still be there when she got home! We have a yogibo store at our mall–danger, danger!!!

I stain easily, too. This looks so cozy. I bet Reese would love it – probably a little too much.

My son received a Yogibo as an 8th grade graduation gift and four years later it's still in great shape! It's held up beautifully through countless teenage boy wrestling & study sessions as well as hundreds of sleep overs (the boys draw straws to see who gets to sleep in it)! He's already added it to the to be packed list for when he leaves for college in the fall! Best product ever!

I have never heard of a Yogibo before, but now I want one. Wonderful product review, poop references and all :) I have to ask though. What the heck do you have poking willy nilly out of your shutter in the living room? I know it's probably some high end artys fartsy thing, but I can't figure it out.

Is yours the same one that the two girls are sitting on while using a computer? So it molds around your body that much and dents in like a chair?? So intrigued.
