Side note- I recorded this podcast last week, so keep that in mind while listening to it.
I didn’t think I’d have time to write a Monday post, so I recorded this podcast last weekend. But I finished the Monday post in under an hour. It was a therapeutic post to write, and I felt compelled to write it.
Thank you as always for listening. It’s fun having these conversations. I imagine all of you sitting across the table from me, as though we’re having coffee together.
Oh, and if you listen all the way to the end, you’ll be rewarded with a really cool story.
Or fast forward.
I can’t tell you what to do. 🙂
Ella is in your head. Or you’re in her head. SUPER weird and SUPER cool!
You are writing. Do not apologize for working on your mission.
I just googled Only The Lonely. I don’t think I ever saw this one, so I’ll see if I can fit it in this weekend.

Right?? She and I are so connected because we are always together. Maybe that’s why?
It’s such a great movie and a great cast too. I think you’ll enjoy it. 🙂

I want to write shorter posts, too. I used to be able to do that ezpz but lately, after being home for so long, I’m getting wordy. Maybe once I’m back out into the world again I’ll get more concise.

Writing shorter posts is easier said than done! These are easy for me because I rambled on a podcast for 20 minutes. 😉

Oh I could never ramble on for that long. I’d make a terrible podcaster, but for those who can do it, cool beans. Carry on, Kari

I would love to listen to a podcast you’d create. But I understand you feeling that way. I never thought I’d like it so much until I pressed “record”. ☺️

But you bring up a good point…sorry, free-flow thinking. Would being out in public more make our posts shorter? Are my posts wordier because I am alone so much? Maybe that is why I feel the need to do a podcast in addition to a blog? Will I feel the same about my podcast once I am out and about more?
By the way, I am not planning on being “out and about” more. I kind of like my pandemic routine. That is a whole other discussion.

Like you I don’t plan on returning to my pre-pandemic socializing schedule. I’m free from that stuff now so I’m staying free. What I was thinking of about when I mentioned being out and about is the small micro-conversations that happen in stores and offices. Those are where I get some of my best ideas, small little snippets of conversations that make for sharp blog posts.

Yes! Me too. I agree that I get some of my best material from outside of my cocoon.

Yay! It is happening!!! (Also u have the best friends!)
Love the book reading. Sounds like one to underline, draw meaningful starbursts in, and sit with.
I totally understand what others have said about podcasts but I must confess – I love your written blog AND I love your podcast. I get my earbuds, settle in my comfy chair and just wait to see where u r taking us. Your podcast is same feeling as unexpected, happy mail. Also, something about your podcast draws everyone in my house. Today it was Chatty Cat & my Husband: WFH Edition. Don’t know if it is the intro music or your awesome accent but everyone here loves u & yr podcast. So keep doing them for as long as u need to.
Can’t wait to see if Ella’s dream of your screenplay is incorporated into your screenplay. So cool. And eerie (in a good way!). Also sweet she wanted to wake you to tell u at 3 a.m., but, you know, didn’t. 🙂

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. I love that your house loves me. I love you all too. 🌈😘
She has been known to wake me at 3 to tell me she loves me. I’m okay with that. ❤️

I haven’t seen Only the Lonely in forever. You are a busy woman. I love that you have friends who know their stuff and are advising you on your book. That’s awesome. You’re so lucky. What a goldmine. I have Mini on my book-writing staff. I don’t pay her much because she lacks any actual credentials. I’m glad she doesn’t give me homework, what happens if you turn yours in late? I also think it’s great to have direction like how you’ve decided to tell your story vs share information that is already out there. Maybe it’s because I love a good story. Wow, the fact that you and Anna share a brain is unbelievable. Talk about Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

Mini is valuable…maybe pay her in Starbucks. 😉
The help I’m getting is incredible. I’m learning so much from Kristen. SO much. I love this whole process. I set out to write a book and in the process, I’ve become a better writer and a better version of myself. It’s been transformative in the most amazing ways.
I truly believe that she mind-melds with me because we spend so much time together. That is the only explanation. Because if I think too long about it, I will get freaked out. LOL

That’s awesome that writing has given you that. A gift in more ways than one.
