Thank you for all the good stuff. Still rationing screentime, so I can’t click on all of them. I really miss reading! That tiny house is so nice–makes me want to live in one, too. And I love Seth’s questions about cities, and the way he so often gets me to see things differently. Thinking of you all the time.

It makes me want to get rid of 90% of my belongings and move into one.
I love how he thinks.
Thank you, friend. I miss your blog posts and on Instagram.

I’m back to writing, and am in the process of moving it. Here’s the latest, from my new online home: https://open.substack.com/pub/rootsie/p/just-because-you-can?r=yjpee&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
But I’ll keep posting in the old one for a little bit. :-) I’ll probably put Instagram back on my phone. I miss seeing stories from you and others, and they just aren’t the same on my desktop.

That’s a lot! Here goes . . .
I’m always a sucker for travel articles like the 24 Coolest Towns, The Best Beaches in the World, Top Restaurants in America. Not that I’ll probably ever visit any of them!
Communicating with the Dead was fascinating!!!! Cherry Grove was so relatable. I always have to point out to my husband where such and such used to be when we drive around Akron. And on our first date, we tried to go to Chi Chi’s, but it was packed. . . so we went to Ground Round!!! And then to a bar called Mugs that no longer exists, like everything else :(
Don’t Be a Buddhist a little bit reminded me of a very funny book from years ago called Stuff White People Like. Things like pumpkin spice lattes . . . and yoga!!!
I’ve seen the WTF Notebooks and they crack me up every time.

Ground round!! OMG, I completely forgot about that restaurant! When I was in high school, ChiChi’s was considered fine dining. 🤣
I was going to write a post about death (and I still might), so that’s why I had two posts about death. But the fact that it was written by a doctor was intriguing.
Stuff White People Like. OMG. That’s funny… there are so many things to add to that list.
I had never heard of those notebooks until another blogger (Hi, Engie!) mentioned them on her blog around Christmas. So funny.

OMG, me too, Kari! And the list (of movies, websites, recipes, photographs, etc.) just keeps getting longer and longer with each passing month. I need to clean out the closet as well.
That TikTok video is ADORABLE!!!!

A lovely friend who’s a professional declutterer (I soooo wish she lived closer to me though so I could engage her) taught me to consider all those online places where clutter builds. Thanks to her I do have regular purges, but mine are never as quality as yours :)

I clicked on the Coolest Towns link and was thrilled to see Yellow Springs, OH made the cut. Tara and I stayed there in 2021 and everything the article says is true: small little hippie utopia in the middle of a very conservative area. We even looked at houses there, just for fun, before settling on Wisconsin.

I read this yesterday. Went down a rabbit hole of links and then never commented. My phone won’t allow me to comment right now and I was on the stationary bike at the time. So here I am. I like the conversation starters. I have a niece that I want to set up on a date with a nephew on the other side, but they are in different states. I keep thinking I’ll give them some vitrual questions to answer to one another. Hmmm.
Also, wait where did the ducks go? Maybe the guy explained it, but the tots were loud in here.
