Screw It, I’m Eating Tater Tots- Episode 35

If you’re new to my blog, welcome! Here is an explanation of the tater tot post.

Wordle

Who’s playing it? You can learn more about it here.

Here’s a link I found thanks to my newest favorite blog:

You’ve heard of Wordle — now get ready for Sweardle and Absurdle

And thanks to my friend Kristen for these finds:

Finally, There’s a Way to Play Wordle More Than Once a Day

Wordle will be free forever because you can right-click to save the whole game

It’s rice pudding season

I mean, does pudding really need a season? Here is a recipe I found recently.

What element are you?

In a recent post, Ally included the above graphic at the beginning of her post. Are these traits consistent with your personality?

Then, in Ally’s comment section, someone mentioned their blog being an Earth sign. I’d never considered my blog having a sign before. So I thought about the month my blog debuted (June), which would make it an air sign. Powerful, creative, fun, has ideas, adventurous, and exciting? Ooh! I love that.

So I thought about the month we moved into our house, July. This would give our home a water sign. Refreshing, charming, mysterious, private, sensitive, and emotional. All wonderful words to describe the place we call home.

What are your signs?

  1. Sweardle sounds like hoot, I say not using a curse word to describe it. I like rice pudding and haven’t had any in years. I need to make some. I love the photo of grandma looking down from heaven. Yep, probably mine is doing the same. Thanks for including me in your tater tot post.

  2. Oh, Richard. I’m dying at how sporadic his hair growth is . . . why is it coming out of his eyes? I love the Willy Wonka quote and I checked out the LET YOUR KIDS KNOW YOU link. I was in a panic, did I forget to have my kids know me? Alas, I read it and realized – they KNOW me. For certain. I’m not much for keeping things a mystery. Not how I roll. I’m watching nothing and listening to nothing new, but since the minivan has a broken radio – just whatever is on my spotify list.

    1. Richard has been retired. I’ve never had a plant that required so much attention. Ch-ch-chia my ass.

Isn’t it an excellent article? I believe our generation is fantastic at letting our children see us as we are, flaws and all.:)

  3. I saw a meme that made me laugh about Wordle. It’s called Horsle — like wordle, but the word is always horse. I play Wordle every morning ever since helping my son after his surgery. He was playing it and we share our results with each other every morning before he goes to work.

      1. My son uses earnt (which is British) coils and dumpy. He googled the most commonly used letters and then came up with three words using the 15 top letters. That way he already has 15 out of 26 letters. I came up with yearn and moist. He usually gets Wordle in three guesses, so he’s using only two of his starter words. Do you think this is cheating?

  4. I have not played Wordle but it sounds fun. I liked the 80’s color board game Mastermind and it sounds like the same basic concept. Lately I am listening to Rob Lowe’s book in my car and loving listening to him narrate his life to me.

  5. It seems like everyone I know is doing Wordle, except me! At least, that is what Facebook tells me. I don’t really want something else to be addicted to…but since it’s just one word a day, maybe? Hmm.

I WAS WONDERING ABOUT YOUR CHIA RICHARD SIMMONS! Oh, that made me laugh.

I am a Taurus, and I’m 100% like that – but my blog and my home are both Fire signs, and…I don’t see it?

I often think of my grandmas and what they would think of life today in general, and both would totally have that expression.

Great post! I’m going to go investigate some of those links.

    1. I keep forgetting to play it, partly since it’s a website rather than an app. My friend is good about texting me her score every day, so then I typically go on after. I got addicted to Candy Crush years ago, so this is much more my pace. I need limits. 🙂

Richard’s a goner, Nicole. Remind me never to purchase another Chia plant. Damn you, Capitalism!

Hello, fellow Taurus! I knew we got along for a reason. 🙂

That lady even looks like my grandmother, which made it even funnier. I can envision our grandmother’s getting a kick out of all of our fun devices and living vicariously through us.

      Enjoy!

  6. I play Wordle! The original one. Love it.

The four elements…I’m a Leo, so I’d be fire. Not too accurate for me. I’m more of a combination of water and earth. Speaking of elements, I just got a book in the mail called The Five Elements (water, fire, wood, earth, metal) by Dondi Dahlin. Check out the description on Amazon. It might be a book you’d like.

What did you think of Julia Cameron’s book, It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again? I couldn’t get into The Midnight Library.

    1. Isn’t Wordle a lot of fun?

Ooh, I looked The Five Elements up on Amazon and it sounds interesting. I’ve added it to my library list! Thank you for the suggestion!

I didn’t really care for It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again because it was more geared at working professionals, but I did use all of her writing prompts. But I’m really enjoying The Midnight Library.

  7. I might be the last to get on the Wordle bandwagon. I’m sure I’ll get there eventually.
I LOL’d at the G’ma and the air fryer. HA!
I’m an earth sign. My blog is also earth. Not sure how accurate it is for me; the materialistic part hurts me. 😳
Maid and Cheer were both good.

    1. It’s okay, I curse at it constantly because I am as dumb as a box of rocks. (That’s insulting to the rocks)

The materialistic aspect bothered me a little too, my friend.

Maid and Cheer were so good. We just finished watching the entire Janet Jackson documentary on A&E last night, and it was really good. I’m not sure why we’re so obsessed with Britney Spears when we have a perfectly good Janet Jackson. 🙂
