For those who won’t be listening, I mentioned that my mom underwent extensive surgery on Tuesday. Her neck had to be reconstructed after four discs were removed. She did wonderfully and is now on the long road to recovery. She will also have back surgery in November, and after that is done, she will be better than all of us. 🙂
You’re such a supportive group here, so I’d appreciate it if you could keep her and my dad in your thoughts as we help her through the healing process.
I also discussed thinking outside the box in terms of ideas for exercise and dancing to release trauma in the body.
There is such a thing as trauma release exercise (TRE). My type of dancing isn’t TRE, but it does release stress and has helped me. I figured it could be useful to some of you as well. Side note- you can listen to whatever music you like. The song she plays isn’t something I’d choose. But it’s a great way to release all of that trauma that is built up inside of you.
So, my question for you is, how do you let go of your trauma? How have you dealt with it? Because we have all been traumatized at one point or another. None of us are immune to it. Help a fellow human being out by sharing how you get rid of yours.
I promised to share some music from my Hormonal Balance playlist. There was more to my playlist than just songs. It told a musical story about my hormone-fueled existence, from period to menopause. Because I had so much fun creating it, here are a few of my favorites.
